Highlights

- Hofburg – the largest imperial residence in Europe
- State Opera and the tradition of classical music
Welcome to Vienna and a walking tour through a city as charming as the pictures from a fairy tale.
In the city center, the bustle of modern life shares space with monuments to history: The city’s most iconic landmark is St. Stephen’s Cathedral, with its single spire dominating the city landscape. The center of political power was, and is, the Hofburg palace, once residence of the Habsburg monarchs and today the seat of Austria’s federal president. Each evening, classical music at Vienna’s State Opera is performed by world-class musicians and singers. We will stroll to the most famous sights along “the golden U” (Kärntnerstraße, Graben, Kohlmarkt) in the heart of the city.
